Fatal California car accident believed to be suicide

Car accidents happen every day. The majority of California drivers drive past one every once in a while. Most accidents are minor fender benders with mild to moderate damage to the vehicles involved. Other times, an accident is more serious and may cause significant damage to the vehicles that crash, along with injury or worse to the individuals involved. It is almost unthinkable that such a car accident could occur on purpose and an innocent life be taken.

Authorities believe that one of the drivers in a recent fatal accident actually committed suicide. This driver, a 29-year-old female, sped around other vehicles as she turned the wrong way onto a California highway. Reportedly, she continued traveling at a high rate of speed until she crashed into the front-end of another vehicle. It is believed that she purposely drove head-on into traffic.

While it appears that this young woman was set on ending her own life, she also succeeded in tragically ending the life of a 49-year-old husband and father. The man, who was driving the other vehicle, was critically injured in the crash. He was airlifted to a nearby hospital and died a short time later.

The general public may never know why this young woman apparently chose to end her life. However, in doing so, she deprived one California family of an important part of their family. In addition to their overwhelming grief, they will also face numerous financial losses due to this car accident. In an attempt to overcome a portion of the hardship this tragedy has caused, this family may decide to pursue civil litigation against the woman’s estate.
