Woman killed in hit-and-run car accident in California

Many individuals suffer serious injuries in vehicle crashes every year. With an increase in the amount of drivers each day, accidents are becoming more and more common. Every car accident has the potential to cause significant damage to the health of anyone involved. A woman is dead after a recent hit-and-run accident that took place in California.

According to police, the 64-year-old woman was driving southbound when a Jeep ran through a stop sign and rammed into her car. She died at the scene of the crash. Reportedly, two women were seen getting out of the Jeep and fleeing the scene. Police are currently attempting to locate them, and a reward has been made available for any information that leads to their apprehension.

Choosing to ignore a stop sign often increases the possibility for a catastrophic accident to take place. Traffic signs are in place to prevent similar collisions, and drivers who are found to be negligent in obeying these may be held responsible for their actions. Choosing to leave the scene of an accident is often considered a sign of guilt and is never advisable.

A family should never have to endure the loss of a loved one under similar circumstances. If a driver is found to be at fault in a car accident resulting in the death of another, restitution may be sought against the wrongful party through the civil justice system. Since the process can be complex, many families in California choose to speak with an experienced attorney for advice on how to file a wrongful death claim.
